Burghol B Banadoora – Vegetarian groats in tomato sauce
Burghol b banadoora is a very healthy vegetarian comfort food, rich in fibers. All the family enjoys it with a salad on the side or plain yogurt.

Ingtredients
- 1 cup of groats (Burghol*)
- I chopped onion
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- A pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 chopped tomato
- 1 Tsp of tomato paste
Burghol* or bulghur is a cereal food made from the groats of durum wheat. You can buy it at any lebanese food store.
Preparation
Fry the onions until golden. Add the garlic and the groats and mix them together.
Add the tomatoes and mix again for 2 minutes, then add salt and pepper and tomato paste mix again together for 2 minutes.
Finally add water (about 1 liter), keep cooking on the stove for 15 min until water is absorbed.
