05Kebbit Batata – Kebbeh made from Mashed Potatoes


This version of vegetarian Kebbeh is a must try. It can be eaten hot or cold and as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

  •  1 pound of mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup of ground walnuts
  • 1 cup of bulghur
  • 1 medium white onion finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh mint minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • olive oil to taste
  • Olive oil for garnish

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together, preferably in a food processor.  Drizzle heavily with olive oil and serve with pita bread and a salad or with olives and fresh cut vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, radish and cucumbers!
